Two people were killed and others injured in a series of explosions in China’s northwestern Xinjiang region, according to the state news agency.
A local Communist Party news website said the explosions occurred in at least three locations in Luntai county.
Xinjiang has experienced unrest in recent months, due to tensions between the local ethnic Uyghur Muslims and ethnic Han Chinese settlers.
Last July, dozens of villagers were killed and injured in clashes outside police and government buildings near the city of Kashgar.
