The Islamic State group has managed to seize much of Iraq’s territory.
A spokesman for the Islamic State launched a threat on Monday against the citizens of the countries that have joined the coalition to fight the jihadist group, through an audio message that was published on various internet portals.
In the statement made by Abu Muhammad al Adnani, IS sympathizers around the world are called upon to attack the citizens of the coalition countries.
This statement is the first known after France and the United States began their bombardments against IS strategic points.
Al Adnani also threatened US President Barack Obama, stating that his armies “will be dragged” into a military confrontation on land.
This declaration comes at the same time that the US and its Western allies have intensified their efforts, which include an alliance with some Arab countries, to attack the group that has seized much of the territory in Iraq.
