United States: “Flood Wall Street” Demonstration Begins in New York

Hundreds of people gather around New York’s financial district on Monday in a demonstration that has been called “Flood Wall Street.”

The objective of this march, as reported by its organizers to various local media, is to draw attention to the contribution of capitalism to climate change.

However, this demonstration has not been authorized by the New York police and it is feared that arrests may be made during the afternoon of this Monday.

In addition, several organizers announced the intention of the march is to reach the stairs of the New York Stock Exchange building and block the entrance of personnel.

“Inunda Wall Street” occurs one day after the massive march through the streets of the city, which previously summoned 310,000 people, on the occasion of the climate summit that is being held within the UN on Tuesday, September 23.
